Custom Entry System Conversion in Alpharetta

The entry door and window were rotting out and the owner wanted to replace them with a more efficient and permanent solution. The old window was over 8 feet tall and was resting on the transom of the door. The challenge with this project was that a new double-pane tempered glass window that large would be too heavy to rest directly on the transom of a new door.

Solution

We came up with a solution of making the window above the new door shorter by installing a header above the door for the window to rest on. This required us to install a new header, order and install a new jamb-box with custom PVC trim, install the new KensingtonHPP window, install the new ProVia door with custom trim, and install sheetrock and new trim on the inside as well. The customer is in love with the finished product!
